Step-by-step drawing

This was my personal project a few weeks ago. Step-by-step drawing. I just thought it was pretty sad that when my friend asked me to draw him a car,  I put pencil to paper, and we were not sure what I had actually drawn. Was it a car? An elephant?

So I thought it was time to improve my drawing skills. I found a book on drawing on Amazon (I needed something simple and basic. Silly goose prof, so to speak). I was very impressed with the book. People like me whom struggle to draw a straight line, can follow the step-by-step guide and a recognizable image appears on the paper (I managed to draw a giraffe and a palace. Amazing!). This book has made me start to enjoy drawing, and more confident. I often spend my evenings practicing while I listen to the Hunger games on audio book (or talk with my sisters on Face time).

I was so impressed with this book that I bough one for my best friend. This is a great way to get children into drawing. It’s very different from free style drawing and an additional tool to increase their interest and confidence, as well as teaching them how to follow instructions, which is a good skill for school and nursery.
