Not long ago I went with my friend to the park and he found a muddy puddle. He was so delighted he screamed and ran forward. That would not have been my reaction to a muddy puddle! Oh, no! I would have walked around it. But I’m not a child. He wasted not time to jump up and down and splash away. Over and over again! The shear joy on his face made me so happy and anyone walking by smiled at him.
While jumping in the muddy puddle my friend learnt about the world around him, using his senses and gross motor skills.
This is a wonderful quote I found online by by Ranko Rajovic,
Jumping into muddy puddles won’t get your kid into a top university. However, the joy they found in doing so is a perfect demonstration of how incredibly beautiful childhood can be. And what it is supposed to be all about.
