This activity is inspired by a trip to the Sea life London aquarium with one of my little friends. It’s a nice place to take children and you will have lots to see and talk about while you are there. My little friend and I got to touch a starfish! That was exciting!
This sensory bag is all about touching and feeling with their fingers while learning about ocean creatures.
Your child needs to be supervised during this activity. They cannot bite the bag as it can be pierced and then the gel will leak out and there will be mess!!!
Ocean sensory bag
Ingredients
- Ziplock bag
- Hair gel (blue)
- Tape
- Plastic ocean creatures
Instructions
Place tape around 3 edges of the bag. Depending on the ziplock bag I sometimes put up to 3 layers. NB. It kind of goes without saying but don’t put tape over the opening of the bag. Doohh!
Pour the gel into the bag and spread it around.
Place the ocean creature into the bag
Close the ziplock and tape around the edge.
