Flying rocket

So, my friend and I have been a little crazy about rockets and space for some time. I mean what’s not to like? There is so much to learn and explore!

We had been printing out rockets to colour in. There are so many online. Just google, rockets printouts or rockets colouring printouts. So, I thought it would be fun to make a flying rocket. I do have to admit though that I was a lot more excited about the rocket than my friend. But hey. That’s ok.

Flying rockets

Ingredients

  • Rocket print out x2
  • Markers or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard
  • Filler or crepe paper
  • String
  • A stick

Instructions

1

Print out two rockets and allow your child to colour it in with markers or crayons.

2

Cut out the rockets and clue onto a cardboard. Cut around the cardboard to make it look nice and trimmed.

3

Glue filler onto the rocket (or cut up crepe paper).

4

Make a hole at the end of the rocket and tie the string or stable it down.

5

Then tie the string to a stick (we found one in the park).
