I am a big fan of having my little friends painting on canvas. I think it just looks so beautiful. I also think it makes a huge difference to varnish the artwork, so it protects it and gives it a shine. I use mod podge and here is my recipe, and you can also buy it on amazon.
The canvases I use are from the flying tiger (amazing Danish knick-knack shop) and the Works. They have packs at a very reasonable price.
The picture accompanying this post belongs to one of my little friends. These are his first painting, crayon, and watercolor artwork, and I simply adore them.
Lastly, I would like to point out that a beautiful picture on canvas is a great present for grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
