How cool is this threading activity? I wish I could take credit for it but I found this idea on Instagram from @leiksolinn_hugmyndabanki.
This is a coloring in, fine motor skills, and bilateral coordination activity. If you think your child will struggle to hold the cardboard then simply just make the cardboard smaller and draw one squiggle.
If you are interested in where I got that nifty little hole puncher it was at hobby craft.
Cut the cardboard to size. Draw squiggles and colour them in. You child can help you do this. Punch holes through the squiggles. Then show your child how to thread the lace through the holes. Your child needs to be supervised during this activity because they are effectively playing with a string. Cardboard squiggle threading
