Herb sensory jars

These are herb sensory jars are a great sensory activity! It’s all about smelling different herbs in these jars. The jars are just salt shakers I found cheap in a shop. I can’t remember which shop sorry.

I used coriander, parsley, thyme and mint.

While writing this I’m smiling as this activity reminds me of the mouse from the movie Ratatouille. Maybe this smelling activity along with getting your child to help you in the kitchen will inspire them to become chefs in the future. Who knows?

Just a little note: I used glass jars for this project. If you choose to do the same then you have to supervise your child as they might break if they fall on the floor.
