Easter egg lacing

I was not organised with Easter activities this year. I’ve been so busy making memory games.

I saw this Easter egg lacing activity online this morning and thought this would be a fun one to try. I have made a pattern but remember your child does not have to do that. I think they should have the option to put their individual stamp on their egg. Also, it will be easier to lace if you put tape on the end of the yarn.

I got the idea for this post from here.

Easter egg lacing

Ingredients

  • Paper plate or cardboard paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Whole punch
  • Yarn

Instructions

1

Fold the paper plate in half and draw half an oval/egg shape and then cut out.

2

Punch holes around the outside of the egg.

3

Show your child how to thread the yarn through the holes.

4

Tape the ends to the back.

Notes

Wrapping tape at the end of the yarn will make the threading easier for your child.

This is my Easter craft from two years ago! Egg carton flowers!
