Textured yarn heart

Another project I did before Valentines Day last year, but did not have time to post about it until now. This is great little activity, and very therapeutic layering yarn on top of each other. I also think it’s very beautiful. I might try this with my current little friend soon.

Textured yarn heart

Ingredients

  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Yarn (cut into 10cm pieces)
  • Glue bottle

Instructions

1

Cut a heart out of the cardboard (doesn't have to be a heart, but that's what I did for Valentines Day)

2

Spread glue over the whole heart and then start adding yarn on top. If your child puts layers upon layers of yarn on the heart, he or she will have to add more glue.

Here is a fun and creative button activity.
