My favourite classic children’s books- part one

Today is world book day and I thought it would be perfect to write a post about my favorite books.  And in fact these are the first books I usually buy for my friends. What they all have in common is that they are classics, written and published years and years ago.  They are simply just beautiful stories that read well.

Here is the list!

Gruffalo broom by Julia Donaldson

We are going on a bear hunt by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury

Each peach pear plum by Allan Ahlberg and Janet Ahlberg

Owl babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson

The hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle

The tiger who came to tea by Judith Kerr

No matter what by Debi Gilori

Guess how much I love you by Sam McBratney and Anita Jeram
