My little friend and I thought of this activity while traveling in a taxi. We were going to the zoo. We love the ZSL London zoo and go there all the time. We had seen a pilot being ejected out of the cockpit that morning on YouTube. So of course, we had to discuss this in great detail. Then I thought why don’t we make parachutes. I asked my friend if he would like to do that? YES, was the answer! So, we stopped at the shops to buy material and string. He got to choose the material and there was pirates on it. So cool!!! When we got home, we made two parachutes, one for each pilot. Now I can say that they land safely every time something happens to their planes. Phew! And by the way we had a great time at the zoo.
I cut out a square from the material and it was 8cm on each side. Then I cut a small hole in each corner and tied a string to it. I pulled all the 4 strings together and made a knot about 10cm down. Then I made two loops so that the parachute could be looped under the arms of the pilot. Parachute pilots
