Airplane smoke stream

My little friend saw the Red Arrows fly over London on the weekend to mark VE day 75. He loves airplanes, so this was a very special moment for him.
When he got home, he asked me to put powder on his plane. I knew right away what he was talking about because a few months back, we played fire rescue. We had talked about the fires in Australia, and he was very fascinated by how the airplanes dropped water and fire retardant (he called it powder) to slow the process of fire on the ground. I didn’t want to go into great detail of the devastation of the fire because he is just a little guy. But he was pleased that the zookeepers as the called them were trying to safe all the animals. He also often said, “people are very sad,” which I thought was very perceptive of him.
When he asked me to put powder on his airplane I cut out strips of crepe paper and stuck them together with tape. I taped the crepe paper onto his plane and then he flew his plane around to recreate what he had seen that morning.
