Have you tried yarn printing?
This activity has been sitting in my to-do folder for ages. I couldn’t find it online but I got it from funncrafts.us. I have to admit that I didn’t look very carefully but I want to give credit where it’s due.
The funcrafts post used a small piece of wood to do the printing but since I didn’t have any I used a cardboard box instead. I recommend using wood because it will be easier to hold for your child and can be used again as it can be washed.
Looking at the picture I did (it’s actually a card for a friend) I love how orderly the lines are. A child would never have done it this way and therefore it would have been so more authentic and beautiful. Just saying.
Wrap the string around the wood/cardboard box and tie the ends together. Pour the paint into a paper plate and then show your child how to dip the box into the paint and then onto the paper. Yarn printing
