These beautiful galaxy bottles are also called calm down bottles or nebula bottles.
The bottles may teach your child to keep calm when their emotions get overwhelming. Most children do not know how to deal with big emotions and it’s our role to teach them how to deal with them affectively. Therefore, if you manage to give your child the calm down bottle before their emotions escalate out of proportion. They may help your child bring their world into focus by bringing their attention to the clouds, colours and stars of the bottle.
Nebula is interstellar cloud of dust dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases. Nebulas are enormous in size but barely visible to the human eye from earth. They seem very fascinating and worth exploring with kids that are into the solar system.
Start by filling the bottle 1/3 up with water. Squirt in some paint and the put the lid on the bottle and shake to mix the paint and water. Add glitter (which are in fact the stars in the galaxy) Stretch the cotton balls before adding them to the water. Then you fill the bottom of the bottle with cotton, pressing down with a stick to make space for more. Repeat this steps 1-4 until the bottle is full. Glue the cap on the bottle securely.
