I used to make these folded crepe paper garlands before Christmas when I was little. I told my sister that I was making them and she had to remind me that they are called mouse ladders in Icelandic. I had completely forgot. These are great for Christmas but also a very inexpensive way to decorate for a birthday!
Folded crepe paper garland
Ingredients
- Crepe paper or crepe paper rolls
- Scissors
- Stapler (or tape)
Instructions
If you are using a crepe paper pack, cut roughly 3 cm at the end of the crepe paper. You will need two strips, so either cut another from the same colour or choose another one.
Place the two strips together at a 90% angle and staple together (or tape).
Fold over the bottom strip over (the red one), pressing down gently, keeping the 90 degree angle.
Fold over the bottom strip (the green one), pressing down gently, keeping the 90 degree angle.
Repeat until you have come to the end of the paper. Staple the ends together.
And voila, you have a fabadosi garland!
